Man shot inside East Baltimore home after arriving at hospital with gunshot wounds

BALTIMORE, MD — A 36-year-old man died at a local hospital Tuesday afternoon after arriving with gunshot wounds, triggering a homicide investigation tied to a shooting inside an East Baltimore residence.

At approximately 1:51 p.m., hospital staff alerted police after a man walked in seeking treatment for gunshot injuries. Despite immediate medical efforts, the man was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Investigators determined that the victim had been shot inside a residence in the 1700 block of East 25th Street before being brought to the hospital by an unidentified party.

While canvassing the scene, officers took three persons of interest into custody without incident. Their identities and possible roles in the shooting have not yet been disclosed.

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation and continue to process the East 25th Street residence for evidence. The motive for the shooting has not been confirmed, and no charges had been announced as of Wednesday morning.
