BRONX, NY – A Pennsylvania man has been indicted on multiple felony charges, including attempted murder, for allegedly shooting a Bronx gas station worker in the head during what prosecutors described as an unprovoked attack.
Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced that Termaine Saulsbury, 42, of Philadelphia, was arraigned January 29 before Bronx Supreme Court Justice George Villegas on charges of second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of second-degree assault, and criminal possession of a firearm. Saulsbury was remanded and is scheduled to return to court on April 1.
Prosecutors say the incident occurred on November 22, 2022, around 7 p.m. at a gas station located at 2290 Boston Road in the Allerton section of the Bronx. According to the investigation, Saulsbury entered the office of a 59-year-old employee, opened the door, and shot him in the head before fleeing the scene. The bullet pierced the victim’s skull, leaving him critically injured.
The victim underwent multiple surgeries and spent months on a ventilator and feeding tube but survived the attack. District Attorney Clark described the shooting as a “senseless and random act of violence” that left the victim with life-altering injuries.
Saulsbury was later located in Pennsylvania, where he was arrested and convicted in a separate case for shooting a Philadelphia Parking Authority officer. After serving time there, he was extradited to New York to face charges in the Bronx attack.

The Bronx District Attorney’s Office credited NYPD officers and detectives from the 49th Precinct for their work in the investigation.
Officials emphasized that the indictment is an accusatory instrument and not proof of guilt.
