Police seek suspect who opened fire near Beach 90th Street in Queens

QUEENS, NY – The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying a gunman who fired multiple shots at a busy intersection in the Rockaways earlier this month before fleeing the scene.

According to police, the incident occurred around 6:14 p.m. on February 3 at the intersection of Beach 90th Street and Beach Channel Drive, within the 100th Precinct. An unidentified individual discharged a firearm several times, endangering nearby motorists and pedestrians, before running west along Beach Channel Drive.

No injuries were reported, but officers recovered ballistic evidence at the scene. The suspect remains at large.

Detectives from the 100th Precinct and NYPD Crime Stoppers are investigating and reviewing area surveillance footage.
