Gunfire erupts in Salisbury as attempted murder probe unfolds
Salisbury, MD — A shooting in a Salisbury neighborhood has triggered an attempted murder investigation after a man was rushed to the hospital with gunshot injuries Tuesday evening.
Deputies and detectives with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded around 6:40 p.m. to the 700 block of Richmond Avenue for reports of a shooting.
Investigators determined a single male victim was transported to TidalHealth for treatment. Officials said the injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No suspect information has been released.
