The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of violently robbing a teenager in Brooklyn earlier this month.
According to police, the incident happened Sunday, May 17, 2026, at approximately 7:10 p.m. in front of 9 Bay 28 Street.
Investigators said a 17-year-old male was approached by an unidentified individual who allegedly slashed him in the chest with a knife before forcibly taking $200 from the victim’s right pocket.
After the robbery, the suspect fled on foot along Bay 28 Street in an unknown direction, police said.
Authorities have not released additional details about the suspect, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The condition of the teenage victim has not been publicly disclosed.
