Detectives search for answers after 16-year-old critically wounded in Northeast Baltimore
BALTIMORE, MD — A 16-year-old is fighting for his life after a shooting in Northeast Baltimore Wednesday evening, leaving detectives searching for whoever pulled the trigger.
Officers responded at approximately 7:17 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, to the 5900 block of Bowleys Lane for a reported shooting, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found the teenage victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body.
The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Northeast District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
Police have not released information about a suspect or what may have led to the shooting.
