Progressive jackpot ticket was purchased at a Marple Township supermarket

MARPLE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Pennsylvania Lottery Fast Play ticket worth more than $439,000 was sold at a Delaware County supermarket, creating one of the game’s latest progressive jackpot winners.

According to the Pennsylvania Lottery, a Progressive Dreamin’ Fast Play ticket worth $439,828 was purchased Thursday at Acme Markets, 1991 N. Sproul Road in Marple Township.

The ticket won the game’s progressive top prize, which starts at $300,000 and increases until it is won.

Lottery officials have not released information about the ticket holder because prizes must be claimed and validated before a winner can be identified.

Acme Markets will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Fast Play games are printed on demand from lottery terminals and self-service vending machines. Unlike traditional draw games, players know immediately if their ticket is a winner by reviewing the ticket or scanning it at a lottery retailer or through the Pennsylvania Lottery app.

The Pennsylvania Lottery reminds players that Fast Play prizes must be claimed within one year of the ticket’s purchase date. Lottery prizes over $5,000 are subject to applicable withholding.
