BALTIMORE, Md. — A 37-year-old man died after he was pulled from the water in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, where investigators say he had been involved in a physical altercation moments earlier.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:13 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Lancaster Street.

According to Baltimore Police, the man was pulled from the water and transported to an area hospital, where he later died.

Preliminary findings indicate the victim had been involved in a physical altercation with another man before entering the water, police said.

Investigators have not released the victim’s identity or disclosed what led to the altercation.

Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
