Police release new appeal to identify robbery suspects
BRONX, N.Y. — Police are searching for two suspects accused of robbing a 15-year-old boy at knifepoint in the Bronx after chasing him down when he tried to escape.
According to the NYPD, the robbery occurred at approximately 3:55 p.m. on June 13 in front of 2811 Exterior St., within the confines of the 50th Precinct.
Investigators said the two suspects approached the teen and demanded his property.
When the victim refused and attempted to run away, one of the suspects chased him, displayed a knife and forcibly took the teen’s sneakers and headphones, police said.
The suspects fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
The NYPD released surveillance images and is asking for the public’s help identifying the suspects.
