SALISBURY TOWNSHIP, PA — A disturbing incident is unfolding in Salisbury after a man was arrested and charged for creeping on young children.

A 41-year-old Salisbury Township man accused of taking nude photos and videos of two juveniles, including a 13-year-old girl, has waived his preliminary hearing.

Anthony John Valente waived the hearing before Judge Clark Bearinger on Aug. 18. His case will now proceed to Lancaster County court.

Valente faces four counts of photographing sexual acts, eight counts of possessing child sexual abuse material, four counts of communicating with a minor for sexual abuse, four counts of corruption of minors and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.

The charges stem from an investigation into allegations that Valente sexually abused the 13-year-old at a West Cocalico Township residence between early March and mid-June 2025. During a forensic interview, the girl told investigators that Valente had used a cellphone to take nude pictures of her.

Police later searched Valente’s then-residence in the 800 block of Skyline Drive. Investigators said electronic devices found there contained nude images and videos of the girl and a second juvenile.

Several recordings allegedly showed the juveniles exposing themselves to Valente, who investigators said could be seen and heard in the videos. In one recording, Valente allegedly offered one of the juveniles money to expose herself.

Ephrata Borough Police Detective Beth Rivera filed the charges. Assistant District Attorney Fritz Haverstick will prosecute the case.

Valente remains in Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.
