New Years Day Shooting in Baltimore Sends Victim to Hospital

BALTIMORE, MD – On January 1, 2021, at approximately 1:54 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 1100 block of Wheeler Avenue for a report of a shooting.  Upon officers arrival, they located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.  Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the 1100 block of Wheeler Avenue when he was approached by an unidentified suspect armed with a gun. A physical altercation ensued, resulting in the victim being shot in the torso and leg.
