SPRING HILL, FL – A Spring Hill teenager has died after her car struck a utility pole. Local officials reported the 17-year-old girl died after striking the pole and exiting her car, stating she stepped on a downed powerline. She exited the vehicle after it caught fire.
The incident happened as heavy storms ravaged the state of Florida this weekend. The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office advised residents to stay inside their homes to wait out the passing storms this weekend.
The crashed occurred late Sunday morning on the quite residential street, Evenglow Avenue.
