Over 1,000 bags of heroin seized in Wilmington bust

WILMINGTON, DE – The Delaware State Police reported over 1,000 bags of heroin were seized in a state-wide task force investigation in Wilmington.

According to the Delaware State Police, Rickey Cromer Jr., 31, of Wilmington was arrested on multiple drug-related charges.

“On March 4, 2022, the Delaware State Police Governor’s Task Force (GTF), with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Special Operation Response Team executed a search warrant on a residence within the 1000 block of West 2nd Street, Wilmington, DE after a two-month long drug investigation,” the DSP said in a statement. “During this operation, Ricky Cromer Jr., a two-year-long absconding probationer, was located inside of the residence and was taken into custody without incident.”

As a result, troopers discovered 1,170 bags of heroin, approximately 1.9 grams of crack cocaine and over $1,100 in suspected drug proceeds
