Baltimore Police Make Arrest in Shooting of 37 Year-Old Man

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – The Baltimore Police Department has made an arrest in the shooting of a 37 year-old man that took place on the corner of Laurens at Pennsylvania in Central Baltimore on August 6th.

23-year-old Darius Peay of Baltimore was arrested on August 21st and charged with attempted 1st & 2nd degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and several handgun violations. Police believe Peay shot the victim after the two had an argument. A handgun was recovered from the suspect as well.

Police say, β€œOn August 6, 2022, at approximately 11:23 p.m., a Central District officer was on foot in the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, when he heard discharging. That officer, ran to the 1800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, where a crime scene was located. Officers were then advised to respond to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim. Once at the hospital , officers located a 37-year-old male who advised them he was shot while in the 1800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.”
