by Kristen Harrison-Oneal

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A burglar broke into the Baker’s Cafe on Germantown Avenue at around 2:30 am last Friday and made off with $1,000 in cash from the store. Now, the Philadelphia police department is seeking assistance from the public to help identify the suspect.

It happened early in the morning when a surveillance video showed a black male pulling up in a black Nissan Altima and parked near the Germantown Avenue store. He walked around the front of the store for a few minutes, then broke the front door to gain entry. A few minutes later, he is seen exiting the cafe and fleeing southbound on Germantown Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black male with a medium build, wearing a maroon hoodie, blue pants, and black New Balance sneakers.
