Woman Carjacked in Northeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A woman was carjacked yesterday morning in Northeast, D.C. The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is asking for help identifying the stolen vehicle.

As the victim was taking items from her trunk in the 4400 Block of Clay Street around 8:00 am, the suspect approached her. A handgun was displayed by the suspect, who took the keys to the victim’s car and other property. The victim’s vehicle was used to flee the scene by the suspect.

Police said the vehicle sought was last seen,” displaying Virginia tag UAR-9860. A surveillance camera captured the suspect’s vehicle. If you have any knowledge of the incident, please should take no action but call the police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.”
