COLUMBUS, OH – A warrant has been filed for the arrest of Miles Gibson, a 28-year-old man, in connection to the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old woman on Monday.
Columbus Police officers arrived at the 3000 block of Brooke Colony Drive after receiving a report of a shooting. The victim, Kennedy Cowans, was found suffering from a gunshot wound. After being rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, she succumbed to her injuries. Witnesses reported hearing an argument near the back of an apartment complex followed by a gunshot. Cowans ran into the apartment complex seeking help and was found by witnesses.
