Toms river approves $1. 2 million garbage truck purchase

Toms River, NJ – The Township Council of Toms River has authorized the award of a contract to Hunter Jersey Peterbilt for the purchase of three new 2024 Automated Side-Loading Refuse Collection Trucks. Hunter Jersey Peterbilt emerged as the sole bidder meeting all bid specifications and was chosen as the vendor for this procurement.

The trucks, which the Department of Public Works will use, come with the option to purchase an additional truck within one year. The total maximum amount for the contract is set at $1,195,563.00.

The Township Council’s decision to award the contract to Hunter Jersey Peterbilt followed a thorough bidding process. The vendor was selected based on their ability to meet all bid specifications and requirements while offering competitive pricing.
