NYC Subway Rider Smashed in Head With Glass Bottle

NEW YORK CITY, NY – On Tuesday, July 11, an unknown man assaulted a 41-year-old male passenger on the MTA ‘6’ train at the 138 Street and 3 Avenue station around 9:55 PM.

The New York City Police Department reported that the attacker engaged the victim in brief conversation before striking him on the right side of his head with a glass bottle.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. The assailant, described as a man of medium complexion with a beard, was last seen in a white tank top and black shorts, carrying a black backpack. He fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The New York City Police Department is seeking information from the public to aid in identifying and locating the individual involved in this incident.
