Five Below Worker Slashed by M&M Candy Thief

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department seeks public assistance to identify an individual in connection with a robbery at the Five Below store on Atlantic Avenue.

The incident took place on Thursday, at about 5:17 pm. The suspect tried leaving the store at 262 Atlantic Avenue without paying for items.

When a 20-year-old male employee intervened, the suspect brandished a knife and made a swipe, damaging the employee’s pants.

Fleeing the scene, the perpetrator took two portable power banks and M&M’s candy. The man is described as being in his 20s, standing at 5’8″, weighing 120 pounds, with a light complexion, thin build, and tattoos on his face and arm.

He was last observed shirtless, wearing ripped blue jeans and multi-colored sneakers.
