New Jersey State Police Investigate Serious Hit-and-Run Crash

RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ – The New Jersey State Police is asking for the public’s help in investigating a hit-and-run crash that resulted in serious injuries.

The incident took place on Wednesday, around 12:43 a.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike northbound in Ridgefield Park, Bergen County.

According to detectives, the victims were operating a motorized scooter when they were struck by an unknown vehicle, possibly a white Ford Transit Van, near milepost 117.3.

The vehicle fled the scene immediately after the collision.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the NJSP Troop “D” Newark Station – Criminal Investigation Office at 732-441-4500 x. 1430.
