Straphanger Robbed of Cellphone, Wallet At Bowling Green Station

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking to the public for help in identifying an individual associated with a grand larceny case.

The incident occurred on Sunday, September 10, at roughly 6:30 AM, near the North East corner of State Street and Battery Place at the Bowling Green subway station 4/5 line.

A 25-year-old male victim was sleeping on a bench when an unidentified person snatched a phone from his hands, which also contained a wallet and a credit card.

The suspect proceeded to make unauthorized purchases at a convenience store located at 3349 Broadway, New York.

The individual, described as a male with a dark complexion, aged between 20 to 30, approximately 5’9″ in height, and about 170lbs in weight, was last seen wearing black pants, a black shirt, a black hat, and lime green sneakers. The NYPD asked anyone with pertinent information to make contact.
