Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Hosts Internet Safety Training at Ventnor Middle School

VENTNOR, NJ — On the morning of October 26th, Sergeant Jason Kangas and Detective Daniel Choe of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office (ACPO) led a “Preparing for Success” Internet Safety Training session at Ventnor Middle School.

During the educational assembly, the officers covered a range of issues including internet safety, information protection, and the consequences of cyberbullying, sexting, and invasion of privacy. They emphasized the importance of making good decisions, particularly for young people in today’s technologically advanced world.

The initiative is part of ACPO’s broader Community Educational Programs. These efforts aim to equip students and community members with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the digital landscape safely.

The Prosecutor’s Office is offering additional information and the opportunity to request an educational session via their community page, encouraging other schools and organizations to take advantage of these resources.

School officials and parents have praised the initiative, noting its timely relevance in an era when children are increasingly exposed to online risks. Law enforcement agencies are increasingly prioritizing such educational endeavors to prevent digital crimes and promote community well-being.

For more details or to request a session, individuals are directed to the ACPO’s Community Educational Programs page.
