WASHINGTON, D.C. – A teenage boy was tragically shot and killed in Northwest Washington, D.C. early Saturday morning. The D.C. Metro Police Department is actively investigating the incident.

The shooting unfolded when police were called to the MedStar Washington Hospital Center located on the 100 block of Michigan Avenue. Upon arrival, around 6:20 a.m., they discovered that a boy in his mid-to-late teens had been shot and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities are currently piecing together the events that led to this fatal shooting. They are determined to locate the exact scene of the incident and the individuals responsible.
