Two Dead in Mansfield Murder-Suicide

MANSFIELD, OH – Mansfield Police Department is investigating a potential murder-suicide after two individuals were found shot to death on Monday night. The incident occurred inside a house located at 319 E. Arch St. in the city’s east side.

Officers responded to the scene at 8:27 p.m. and discovered Kimberly Parsons, 53, and David Parsons, 57, both deceased with apparent gunshot wounds.

The victims, identified as siblings, were found during a routine check following a shooting report.

Major detectives from the Mansfield Police Department are leading the investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The Richland County Coroner’s Office has planned autopsies for both victims.

This incident marks the second and third shooting deaths in Mansfield in as many nights, following a year with 12 gun-related homicides. The department asks anyone with information to contact Detective Terry Butler at (419) 755-9791.
