by Local News Report

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – The Baltimore County Police Department investigated a barricade incident on January 20, 2024, in the Wilkens Precinct. At around 7:40 a.m., officers were called to the 4800 block of Grenville Sq. for a domestic assault report.

On arrival, they encountered 31-year-old Antonio Hart, who was uncooperative and claimed to be armed. The police set up a perimeter and deployed Tactical and Crisis Negotiation Teams. During the standoff, Hart released three occupants from the premises, while a fourth, an adult female with serious injuries, escaped and was taken to a hospital.

Despite negotiation efforts, Hart did not surrender. The tactical team eventually entered the premises, finding Hart deceased. The cause of death is pending an autopsy, and the suspect’s statements during the barricade are under investigation.
