ELKRIDGE, MD — The Howard County Police Department announced the arrest of Kevin Gregory Matthews, a 40-year-old Baltimore resident, in connection with a shooting outside the Triple Nines Bar and Billiards on March 1. Matthews faces charges including attempted first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and firearm use in a felony, and is being held without bond.
The shooting incident took place shortly after 12:31 AM on March 1, when police were called to the scene on the 7500 block of Washington Boulevard in Elkridge. The victim, an adult male, was found with gunshot wounds and promptly taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
