Jackson Stop & Shop to Close Due to Poor Performance

JACKSON, NJ – Stop & Shop announced the upcoming closure of its Jackson supermarket, located at 2275 West County Line Road. The decision, revealed on Friday, stems from the store’s failure to meet financial expectations. The supermarket, which occupies 67,112 square feet at Bennetts Mills Plaza, will cease operations later this fall following the company’s decision not to renew its lease.

The company conducted a routine evaluation of store performances, identifying the Jackson site as underperforming. Despite the closure, Stop & Shop has other locations in Howell, Toms River, Freehold Township, and Brick, which will welcome customers from the Jackson store. Additionally, all employees at the Jackson location will have the option to transfer to other stores within the chain. The store will remain operational until early fall.
