Philadelphia Man Barricaded in Police Stand Off Shot at Woman Earlier

PHILADELPHIA, PA—A serious barricade situation has developed in the 2100 block of South Alden Street in Philadelphia, following a shooting incident that occurred late Saturday afternoon. The Philadelphia Police Department reported that the incident began when a Black male armed with a gun fired at a female, who managed to escape the scene through the back door of the residence.

Following the altercation, the suspect locked himself inside the house and has since refused to come out. Police have not confirmed whether there are additional people inside the home with the suspect. A barricade was officially declared at 5:10 PM, and law enforcement has established a staging area at the intersection of Alden and Greenway Avenue.
