ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Annapolis police are investigating a series of thefts from vehicles that occurred on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, with multiple reports of stolen property from unsecured cars across the city.

In the 800 block of Chester Avenue, officers responded at approximately 9:25 p.m. Wednesday to a report of theft. A resident reported that their 2016 silver Mazda 6 had been broken into overnight, with a pair of Apple iPods and house keys stolen.

Earlier that day, at 7:48 a.m., officers responded to a similar incident on Southwood Avenue. The victim reported that a wallet, tennis equipment, and iPods, valued at $200, were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Another theft was reported on City Gate Lane at 8:06 a.m., where a purse containing $100 was stolen and later found discarded nearby. Additional thefts were reported on Charles Street, where $40 was stolen, and on Shipwright Street, where $175 worth of liquor, coins, and a vehicle registration were taken.

On Christmas Eve, thefts from unsecured vehicles were reported on Brannock Terrace and Childs Point Road. One suspect, described as a man wearing a hoodie, sweatpants, white gloves, and a dark facemask, was seen rummaging through a car on Ring camera footage but took nothing of value.

Police have not identified any suspects and urge residents to lock their vehicles and avoid leaving valuables inside. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Annapolis Police Department.
