Baltimore Woman’s Itchy Palm Brings $50K Lottery Windfall

Baltimore, MD – A Baltimore City employee took home the top prize of $50,000 from the Lots of Cash scratch-off game, the Maryland Lottery announced on Tuesday.

The woman, who regularly purchases instant tickets, decided to buy a $5 Lots of Cash scratch-off last Wednesday after experiencing an itchy palm. This superstition led her to visit the Baltimore Service Center at 2341 East Monument Street. “I’ve been playing for a long time, a couple of tickets a week, maybe, and always $5 games,” she explained.

Upon scratching the ticket and seeing the $50,000 match, she initially thought it was fake. The cashier confirmed the prize was real, urging her to take the ticket home immediately.

The winner has yet to make plans for her newfound fortune, expressing disbelief and gratitude for her unexpected windfall. “I still can’t believe this is real. What a blessing.”
