BROOKLYN, NY – A violent stabbing inside a Brooklyn home left one man dead and a woman fighting for her life Thursday evening.
Officers arrived at 1277 East 69th Street shortly after 7:30 p.m. following a 911 call reporting two people stabbed.
Inside, police found a 49-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman suffering from multiple stab wounds across their bodies.
Both victims were rushed by EMS to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Medical Center, where the man, identified as Juan Manuel Galicia, was later pronounced dead.
Investigation ongoing
The woman remains hospitalized in critical condition as detectives work to determine what led to the attack.
Authorities have not released details on a possible suspect or motive.
No arrests reported
As of Friday, no arrests had been made, and police said the investigation is continuing under the direction of the 63rd Precinct.
Neighbors described the block as generally quiet, with little history of violent crime.
