CINCINNATI — A 38-year-old Cincinnati man was arrested Friday by federal authorities after allegedly posting multiple threats online to kill officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), according to officials.

Anthony Marcus Kelly faces federal charges including threatening to assault, kidnap, or murder a U.S. official, and transmitting threats across state lines. The arrest was carried out by ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the FBI following an investigation into a social media account using the name “Slab.”

Authorities say Kelly posted threats on social media referencing firearms and calling for violence against ICE personnel. In one post, he wrote, “Why even bother with these damn courts anymore… they’re rabid dogs that need to be put down.” Another post warned, “You come here for me, you’re getting shot… I’m shooting for the kill.”

“Let me be crystal clear: Threatening to kill a federal officer is not protest — it’s terrorism,” said acting ICE Director Todd M. Lyons. “Anyone who targets ICE personnel will be met with swift, unrelenting justice.”

Kelly is currently in federal custody awaiting further proceedings.
