D. C. Police identify teen killed in shooting

Washington, D.C. – The victim in a shooting Sunday evening in Northwest, D.C. has been identified. The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch has named 17-year-old Jabari Malloy as the victim. Malloy, a resident of Northwest, DC, lost his life on Sunday evening in a violent altercation that has since sparked an intensive police investigation.

At around 7:37 p.m., officers from the Fourth District were dispatched to the 700 block of Morton Street following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Malloy in the rear alley of the 700 block of Lamont Street, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate response, Malloy was pronounced dead at the scene, marking a somber moment for the community and the officers involved.

The D.C. Metro Police Department actively seeks information about this case and urges anyone with insights to come forward.
