D.C. Police Launches Search for Suspect in Northeast Sexual Abuse Case

WASHINGTON, DC – The Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit is actively seeking a suspect in connection with a sexual abuse incident that occurred in Northeast Washington, D.C.

The event unfolded in the early morning of December 31st, around 3:30 a.m. According to the police report, the suspect forcibly pushed a victim to the ground on the 700 block of 6th Street, Northeast, with the intention of committing sexual abuse.

Authorities have provided a detailed description of the suspect. He is identified as a Black male in his thirties, about 5’10” tall, and weighing between 180-220 pounds. The suspect is noted to have short hair, a clean-shaven appearance, and a noticeable large mole on his face. At the time of the incident, he was wearing dark clothing.

In a significant development, the suspect was captured on surveillance cameras.

The police urge anyone with information about the suspect or the offense to come forward. They emphasize that individuals should not approach the suspect but rather contact the police directly at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, tips can be sent anonymously through the department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
