Manhunt underway after shooting at 4th and Evarts Street NE in DC

Washington, DC – A shooting late Wednesday night in Northeast DC has prompted a search for a masked suspect, according to a crime alert issued by the Metropolitan Police Department’s 5th District.

At approximately 10:43 p.m. on November 27, MPD units responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of 4th and Evarts Street NE. Officers are actively investigating the scene and working to identify and locate the individual responsible.

Police are looking for a Black male suspect last seen wearing a large black coat and a face mask. No additional physical description has been provided, and authorities have not confirmed the condition of any potential victim at this time.

MPD urges the public not to approach the suspect and to immediately contact police with any information.
