Baltimore, MD – A fatal shooting in Northwest Baltimore late Tuesday night has resulted in the swift arrest of a 49-year-old woman, following what investigators described as a domestic-related dispute. The victim, identified as 43-year-old Garreth Parks Jr., was found with a life-threatening gunshot wound and later died at a hospital.

The incident unfolded around 10:18 p.m. in the 3700 block of West Belvedere Avenue, where responding officers located the victim shortly after receiving reports of gunfire. Emergency medical personnel transported him to an area hospital, but he did not survive his injuries.

Homicide detectives identified 49-year-old Rene Parks of Baltimore County as the suspect. She was taken into custody the following day at her home, shortly after the shooting.

Rene Parks was arrested on April 1 and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where she now faces multiple charges. Authorities have charged her with first- and second-degree murder, as well as assault and handgun violations.
