Trenton, NJ – Detective Sergeant Erin Micciulla of the Missing Persons Unit has been honored as the recipient of the prestigious 2024 National Missing Persons Conference Service Award for her remarkable contributions to missing persons investigations.
DSG. Micciulla has been recognized for her relentless efforts to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement in addressing high-risk missing person cases. On May 15, 2023, her advocacy led to the enactment of crucial legislation that broadens the authority of law enforcement officers and prosecutors. This legislation now allows them to issue administrative subpoenas and request that courts issue subpoenas, warrants, court orders, or other legal actions in cases involving high-risk missing persons.
