BRONX, N.Y. — A 67-year-old man was robbed early Monday morning at the Morris Park subway station after a suspect threatened to shoot him while pretending to have a gun, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:12 a.m. on June 16 on the southbound “5” train platform at the station located near Paulding Avenue and Esplanade. The victim was approached by an unidentified individual who simulated a firearm under his shirt and demanded the man’s belongings.

The suspect threatened to shoot the victim if he did not comply. The victim handed over $20 in cash and his bank card before the suspect fled the station on foot.

No injuries were reported, according to police.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with a white logo, black jeans, and black sneakers.

The NYPD is continuing to investigate the incident. No arrests have been made, and no surveillance footage has been released at this time.
