Eight chances to win $50K before New Year’s in Pennsylvania Lottery raffle

Pennsylvania Lottery launches $50K weekly prizes ahead of Millionaire Raffle grand drawing

Middletown, PA — The Pennsylvania Lottery’s popular New Year’s Millionaire Raffle is back, and this year it comes with an added incentive — eight weeks of $50,000 bonus drawings leading up to the main event, where four new millionaires will be crowned.

Sales are now underway for the seasonal raffle game, which has awarded more than 140 million-dollar prizes since it debuted in 2005. For this year’s raffle, the Lottery will hold eight weekly drawings, each awarding two separate $50,000 prizes to randomly selected ticket holders. These weekly prizes are in addition to the final drawing scheduled for Saturday, January 3 at 8 p.m., which will distribute more than $5.8 million in total prizes across 6,000 winning tickets.

Each $20 raffle ticket sold is automatically eligible for both the weekly drawings and the final grand prize drawing. The weekly prizes begin with tickets sold between November 4 and November 10, and continue through December 29. The winning numbers from each weekly drawing will be posted at palottery.com after each draw.

The January 3 grand drawing will include:

  • Four $1 million prizes
  • Four $100,000 prizes
  • 100 prizes of $1,000
  • 5,892 prizes of $100

Only 500,000 tickets will be sold statewide, with tickets numbered sequentially from 00000001 to 00500000. All tickets sold before the January deadline are also valid for the final drawing, regardless of whether they win a weekly prize.

According to the Lottery, the odds of winning any prize are 1 in 83, while the odds of hitting one of the four $1 million top prizes stand at 1 in 125,000 — provided all tickets are sold. Tickets must exactly match the drawn number, including all digits in the correct sequence, to win.

Winners of the $50,000 weekly drawings must claim their prize in person at a Pennsylvania Lottery office. These prizes cannot be claimed at retailers or by mail. Players are also reminded that all tickets should be signed and retained until the final drawing.

The Pennsylvania Lottery continues to fund programs that benefit older residents, and players are encouraged to play responsibly.
