Former Highlands teacher faces new charges after more victims come forward in child sex abuse case

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA – A former teacher in the Highlands School District is facing new charges after two additional victims were identified in an ongoing child sex abuse investigation, Allegheny County Police announced Tuesday.

Sean Dicer, 53, was originally charged in December following a report received on November 7, alleging that he sexually assaulted a juvenile male student in 2021 while employed as a teacher. A second juvenile male victim was identified soon after, prompting further charges.

After media reports about Dicer’s arrest were released, detectives received new information from the public, leading to the identification of two more potential victims. In consultation with the district attorney’s office, police filed new charges against Dicer earlier today.

The charges filed to date include involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, unlawful contact with a minor, and sexual extortion. Dicer is currently being held at the Allegheny County Jail.

County Police continue to investigate and urge anyone with additional information related to this case or any other potential victims to contact the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
