From fireworks-filled concerts and tribute bands to magicians, clowns, and sing-alongs for children, Toms River is turning Shelter Cove Beach into one of the Jersey Shore’s busiest summer entertainment destinations.
Toms River Mayor Daniel Rodrick and the Toms River Recreation Department have announced an expanded summer entertainment schedule at Shelter Cove Beach, adding a dedicated Kids Concert Series to an already packed lineup of free family-friendly concerts running throughout the season.
The summer program features live music, children’s entertainers, fireworks displays, waterfront sunsets, and community gatherings at one of the township’s most scenic venues. Nearly every week this summer, residents and visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy free entertainment along the Toms River waterfront.
With tribute bands, rock concerts, magic shows, children’s performers, and several nights ending with fireworks over the water, the township has assembled one of its most ambitious summer recreation schedules in recent years.

New Kids Concert Series Expands Family Entertainment
This year, township officials are also introducing a dedicated Summer Kids Concert Series designed specifically for younger audiences and families.

Free Summer Entertainment Along the Waterfront
The concert series has become one of Toms River’s signature summer attractions, drawing thousands of residents and visitors to Shelter Cove Beach each season.
Located along the riverfront, the venue offers waterfront views and sunset backdrops while providing free entertainment for families throughout the summer months.
The expanded schedule complements other recreation events taking place throughout Toms River and reflects the township’s continued investment in family-oriented programming.
With live music, children’s entertainment, fireworks, and a beachside atmosphere, Shelter Cove Beach is expected to remain a major gathering place throughout the summer.
“Bring your own blankets or chairs and snacks,” organizers noted in promoting the Kids Concert Series.
