Frederick Police Seek to Identify Fourth Suspect After Traffic Stop Leads to Gun Seizures

FREDERICK, Md. — The Frederick Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a fourth individual involved in a traffic stop that led to the seizure of multiple firearms.

The incident occurred on August 22, 2024, around 12:15 p.m., when detectives from the Major Crimes Unit initiated a traffic stop in the area of Madison Street and Carrollton Street in Frederick City. During the stop, the driver and two passengers were detained and charged with various offenses related to the incident.

Four handguns were recovered during the operation, raising the stakes of the ongoing investigation. The Frederick Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is now focused on identifying a fourth individual connected to the case. A photograph of the person of interest has been released to the public in hopes of gathering more information.
