STAFFORD, VA – Detectives in Stafford County successfully located and detained a known drug dealer, Shaheim Perry, on Tuesday afternoon. Perry, who was wanted for possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute, was found in a taxi cab with a child.

Authorities, suspecting that Perry was en route to his residence in England Run, conducted a high-risk stop on the cab as it exited I-95 onto Northbound Warrenton Road. Despite an incident during a subsequent search where suspected controlled substances accidentally spread, no deputies were harmed. Perry was arrested without resistance.

Perry faces charges including possession of controlled substances, child neglect, and obstruction of justice.

He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond, the child in his care was safely handed over to a family member.
