George Getty III charged for sexually abusing young girls he was hired to babysit

MAYS LANDING— A 29-year-old Egg Harbor Township man is charged with 8 counts of sex-related charges in connection to the sexual assaults of three girls that he was responsible for babysitting, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill announced.

George Getty III, was arrested in Egg Harbor Township on Oct. 9, 2021, and he is charged with the following offenses in the sexual assaults of three female victims, ages 13, 10, and 8 years-old:

·         1 count 1st degree Aggravated Sexual Assault

·         3 counts of 2nd degree Sexual Assault

·         3 counts 2nd degree Child Endangerment

·         1 count 3rd degree Endangering of a Child due to Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material

This is a cooperative investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department and FBI. Assistant Prosecutor Erika Halayko represents the state in this matter.
