Responding to a report of a shooting, Southwest District officers arrived at a residence on West Mulberry Street shortly after 9 p.m. on Monday. There, they found a 21-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her condition has not been publicly disclosed.

Father arrested and charged with attempted murder

Investigators determined that the victim’s father, Kelvin Evans of Baltimore, was the alleged shooter. The incident followed a dispute between the two at their shared residence. Evans was taken into custody and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility.

He has been charged with attempted first-degree murder. The investigation is ongoing.
