BALTIMORE, MD — A fast food worker was injured early Thursday morning when a gunman opened fire during a robbery at a restaurant on Moravia Road before fleeing with the cash register.

Officers responded to the 6000 block of Moravia Road at approximately 3 a.m. and found a 32-year-old female victim suffering from a gunshot-related injury to her foot. Medics arrived to treat her at the scene.

Investigators say the suspect, described as an unidentified Black male, approached the drive-thru window on foot, armed with a gun. While attempting to steal the register, he fired inside the restaurant, injuring the victim before escaping.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact detectives at 410-396-2433 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.

Authorities continue to search for the armed suspect as the investigation unfolds.
