Montgomery County police are searching for a suspect who opened fire outside a Damascus apartment complex, leaving a man hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the leg.
A late-night shooting at a Damascus apartment complex has prompted an ongoing investigation by Montgomery County police as detectives work to identify the gunman responsible.
Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police 5th District responded at approximately 10:33 p.m. Tuesday to the Damascus Gardens apartment complex in the 9800 block of Bethesda Church Road.
Investigators said the shooting occurred as the victim and another individual were leaving an apartment building.
According to preliminary findings, an unknown suspect fired a single shot before fleeing the area.
Victim Hospitalized After Shooting
The victim, an adult male, was struck in the leg during the incident.
Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital for treatment.
