Jackson Township Child Abductor In Custody

June 5, 2024

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, PENNSYLVANIA – A critical incident involving the abduction and assault of a 12-year-old girl has led to the arrest of 20-year-old Dylan McClintock from Philipsburg, PA.

The Northern York County Regional Police Department began their investigation early in the morning on May 27, 2024, after the child was reported missing from her home around 1:30 AM by her parents. Hours later, the girl was seen exiting a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, which was later identified through automatic license plate readers.

Investigations revealed that the girl had been communicating with an adult male from the State College area through the ChatIB app. The communication led to the girl sending photos to the man, who is now identified as McClintock.

He is accused of driving to the girl’s residence, persuading her to leave her home covertly, and driving her to a secluded parking lot in West Manchester Township where the assault occurred. McClintock then returned the girl to her neighborhood, dropping her off a short distance from her home upon noticing police presence.

The victim was immediately taken to a hospital for medical evaluation while the police conducted a forensic analysis of her cellphone, confirming McClintock as the suspect. On June 4, 2024, an arrest warrant was issued, leading to McClintock’s apprehension and subsequent detention at Centre County Prison pending extradition to York County, where he will face charges.

The case continues to develop as local authorities, led by MDJ Thomas Reilly, prepare for the judicial process. The community has been alerted to the dangers of unsupervised internet use by minors and the importance of parental oversight.
