Human remains found inside Clairton home as investigation begins
Clairton, PA — A late-night discovery inside a residence has prompted a death investigation after human remains were found in a Clairton neighborhood.
The incident unfolded shortly after 11:00 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of 5th Street, where emergency dispatchers received a report of remains inside a home. First responders arrived and confirmed the remains of an adult male.
Allegheny County Police homicide detectives responded to assist and have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Preliminary findings indicate there are no obvious signs of foul play at this time. Authorities said the case remains active pending formal identification of the individual and results from the medical examiner, who will determine the cause and manner of death.
